| How
to Copy DVD to DVD
In
this section you're going to learn how to clone or copy DVD's
to blank DVD-R Discs. This requires a DVD-Burner.
Software Needed:
DVD
Shrink - Click Here to Download and Install
The
link to download is in the upper left corner. You will need
to Extract the files from the ZIP file first, then run "DVDshrink32setup.exe"
to install it.
Using DVD Shrink
to Copy DVD to DVD
-
Insert the
DVD you want to backup
- Open DVD Shrink

-
Click "Open
Disc"

It
usually picks the correct drive but if it doesn't just use
the arrow on the right side to select the correct drive, then
click "OK"
-
Now you should
see something like this:

Just
let it finish, and you should see something like this:

The
green bar on top tells you if your DVD is too big to fit on
a DVD-R. If it contains any red, like in the picture above,
you need to go and deselect some things you don't need until
it is all green. Start by deselecting any foreign languages
you don't want in both the Audio and Subpicture areas. Do
this for each category on the left. If that doesn't do it,
get rid of a few extras you don't want (change video to "still
image") or disable the director's comments. Basically
just get rid of whatever you don't want until the bar is all
green.
You
can preview extras or the movie it's self by selecting it
and then clicking play on the little player in the lower left
corner.
Once
you're done and the bar is all green, click "Backup!"
-
Now you will
see something like this:

Under
"Select Backup Target" choose what I choose "ISO
Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter" and click "OK".
-
Now you should
see this:

It
is creating an ISO Image file, so you can burn it to a DVD-R
when you are done. Wait until it is finished then go on to
the next step.
-
When the encoding
is finished, you should see this:

It didn't start because I still have the original DVD in my
drive. The last step is to insert a blank DVD-R and then click
the picture button in the lower left corner (Picture of a
hard drive, arrow, and DVD. That's it, just wait until it's
done and you've got a copy of your DVD.
